In addition I want to take a moment to write about the issue of CACREP Accreditation which the Virginia Board of Counseling addressed. The CACREP accreditation is one which has been discussed and vetted at the federal level by our professional associations and by the federal government. It's a national trend to prepare the future of the profession to be properly accredited and to have flexibility to switch fields in the future.
However we would like to know your perspective as Virginians on this CACREP Accreditation and other issues. Please send us your feedback as to whether you support, oppose or don't have enough information on CACREP Accreditation.
We hope that you will visit the site often and share with us your ideas and feedback on additional resources and posts of interest to you. You can always email our Executive Director at [email protected]
Finally, we extend our congratulations to Governor-elect Northam and thank all of our current, outgoing and incoming elected officers for their service.
Mike Jeffrey, LMFT, President
